“Art is the stored honey of the human soul, gathered on wings of misery and travail.”
Theodore Dreiser
One tool I absolutely fell in love with while studying design was the Risograph printer. I love the quirks and texture it brings to a print, and knew I wanted to utilize it to create my poster to give it the feeling of being handcrafted and handpicked out of dozens of editions. That is also why I kept some of the minor imperfections; track marks from the Riso, inky fingerprints, stray splotches on the paper. This was a labor of love, and those little details are my love letter to designing with the Riso—a teaspoon of honey from my soul.
